Car doors, keys, and locks are the most important parts to take care of in Tanzania. The most basic ways of keeping your car’s handles and locks in a better position are listed below.

1.    Avoid keeping heavy keychains.

A heavy keychain can worn-out the teeth of your key and can make it impossible or difficult to turn on the ignition. It can also cause damage to the lock cylinder, which is specifically made for supporting the weight of your car’s key. If your keychain has heavy metal decorations, the weight of the key might impose strain on the ignition cylinder's internal elements, causing damage. At some point, the entire cylinder may need to be replaced! So get rid of that hefty metal keychain if you want your ignition cylinder to live longer.

2.    Attempted theft can damage your locks.

Crowbars are usually used by thieves, which can damage your car’s lock. In addition, it can damage your door’s latch, the lock, or the door itself. If you discover physical damage to your car's door handles or locks or evidence that someone tried to force the doors open, you may need to have your locks repaired to restore normal performance. If the thief was successful, you might think about filing a police report. Furthermore, if you have comprehensive auto insurance, damages to your vehicle caused by an attempted theft should be covered under your policy.

3.    A flipped latch may prevent your door from closing.

You may feel confident that your car’s door is closed, but sometimes it’s not; here’s what happens! The door latch can be flipped to the closed position. However, this might prevent the door from closing properly, causing it to bounce off the latch. It may also create a weird noise which is one of the signs. You might be able to solve this problem by inserting a small screwdriver into the latch and flipping it back, or you might have to get it fixed by professionals.

4.    The outer door always works when your inner door is creating problems.
You should always check your outer door if your inner door is broken, but if it is also not working, it can create a bit of a problem for you if you are traveling with your boss and can get you in a state of embarrassment. So it's way better to avoid any embarrassment and get it fixed as soon as possible. But if you are traveling alone, you can evacuate the automobile by simply rolling down the window and reaching out to grab the handle outside the vehicle. This could enable the door to open normally. You should lubricate healthy car doors, locks, and keys regularly for a smooth and long run. It will never create such problems and give you long-term and positive outcomes.
