It doesn't matter if you're a car fanatic or not, you've heard of Ferrari and you've probably got in your mind a sports car of immeasurable beauty that you'd like to drive at some point in your life, whether you like it or not. Talking about Ferrari is something worthy to talk about, however there are things that we cannot leave aside, and that is that there are models that are really loved by the public that likes this brand and others that simply and simply were not well received and even passed unnoticed.

That's the case with the Ferrari Mondial, a car that always polarised the brand's fans and was actually less popular than it was thought to be. The Ferrari Mondial was never one of the fastest, nothing like the most powerful and for many, it was never even pretty and this put it in a place that no car wants, that of oblivion, at least until now and the fact that it is not a beastly machine, it is a vehicle with a logo of the famous Prancing Horse on the front of the hood and it attracts more attention when it comes to the fact that it is the cheapest Ferrari model that exists on the planet.

The Ferrari Mondial was produced between 1980 and 1993 and the design work was done by Pininfarina on a body created by Carrozzeria Scaglietti, which makes it look good, but not so good for what's inside, by which we mean a total lack of power and speed.

The engine of the Ferrari Mondial is a V8, which although not a bad engine for the rest of the brands, for a Ferrari it is something like a "half engine", an engine incapable of providing drivers with what anyone would expect from a Ferrari as we are talking about only 214 horsepower, and in addition the vehicle is really heavy as it exceeds a ton and a half, so the power is much lower, in fact it takes 9.5 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h and a lot of effort to accelerate to 238 kilometres per hour, its top speed.

But not everything has to be negative. The Ferrari Mondial is, despite its mechanical ailments, a very manageable car, comfortable inside with four seats and to top it all off, it is already considered a "classic", a very under-appreciated one from the manufacturer
